Hey, I'm Raquel Calvo. Let's rewind a bit, shall we?

Picture this: Madrid, Spain. Family movie nights were the highlight of my week. Each film was a window to our world and beyond. A moment of connection that ignited my curiosity, sparking a desire to discover new cultures, crafts, and perspectives. One movie, in particular, left a mark on me— “The Invention of Hugo Cabret”. It was like a gateway to the magical world of cinema, especially when mentioning Georges Méliès' iconic “A Trip to the Moon”. Fast forward to today, and I find myself in the bustling streets of San Francisco, California, pursuing my passion for filmmaking. But my journey here has been anything but ordinary. Alongside my artistic endeavors, I’ve also embraced the challenges of being a Student-Athlete, representing both Real Madrid and the Academy of Art soccer teams. I've traded cleats for camera gear more times than I can count. From intense training sessions to coordinating film shoots, I've mastered the art of keeping cool under pressure. Think resilience, adaptability, and a whole lot of hustle!

I quickly realized that the same principles of teamwork, strategy, and resilience that defined my soccer career also applied on set. Collaboration and unity became the driving forces behind every project, as we worked together to bring stories to life. Whether on the field or behind the camera, these values became ingrained in me, shaping not only my approach to sports but also my approach to life. Oh, and fun fact: I've produced over 20 different projects, each one a unique story waiting to be told.

As I look to the future, my goal is simple yet profound—to continue telling stories that inspire, provoke thought, and spark change. I’m ready to tackle any challenge with unwavering confidence and determination.
