James Montgomery

In 2017, After spending 11 years in the United States Air Force, I decided that I wanted to leave the military. I moved to San Jose, California, and began my journey as a filmmaker at San Francisco Film School. After receiving my Associate’s Degree in Digital Filmmaking, I realized I had discovered a true passion. I have always had a love for music and have been writing and producing from my bedroom since 2005. When I started attending the Academy of Art in 2020 to attain my BA in motion picture editing, I realized not only how similar film and music editing are, but how they complement each other to create truly great films. I am currently receiving my MFA in composing and scoring, and I continue to push my passion to new heights.
