Jonah Barshaw

Jewelry & Metal Arts / AA

I'm Jonah Steven Kalani Barshaw, I am an artist from Hawaii and I'm attending AAU to become a better jeweler and artist in general. This is my Jewelry 210 class midterm project which I named "From Mauka to Makai" which means from the mountains to the ocean in Hawaiian. I crafted a set of three Koa wood hair picks using tiger sharks teeth with a smooth wavy design to represent the ocean, a natural branch like design that can hold flowers to represent the Aina which means the land, and a boars tusk with a spear head design to represent the Mountains.
