This is a collection rich in tradition, culture, nostalgia, and unconditional mother's love received. The inspiration is someone closest to my heart, my mother, and her favorite bird, the majestic peacock. Peacocks are meant to bring good luck and wealth in Indian Culture. My mother had these birds embroidered on her wedding dress which was locked up in a tiny storage room in my childhood home in India for 35 years. It got a breath of fresh air for the first time for this collection. The dress is deconstructed and reconstructed to make a majestic look for the runway with 5 other looks in traditional fabrics sourced and dyed in North India. This collection is bringing a wedding to the show.
