Ellen Vorsatz is an aspiring film composer and music producer from the San Francisco Bay Area. As a young student, she discovered a love for jazz and performance. After graduating high school she pursued music at the College of San Mateo before transferring to California State University. Music has been an important outlet for expression and source of inspiration in times of adversity throughout her life. A profound passion for the art drove her to continue her education at the Academy of Art University. She earned her undergraduate BFA degree in Music Scoring from Academy of Art University in 2019, and is now finishing her graduate MA degree in Music Scoring in 2021.
Her recent internships include soundtrack research with Patrick Kriwane at Change Your Life Films and working under the direction of Rosemary Rawcliffe at Frame of Mind Films. In addition to her studies, Ellen is a general music teacher at a local private school teaching kindergarten through eighth grade. Ellen is looking forward to contributing to the music community as an artist, performer, educator and collaborator upon graduating in Spring 2021.
