Meredith Buck (she/her) is a patternmaker and sewist residing in Kailua Kona, HI. With a special interest in fit and inclusive sizing, she incorporates cutting-edge and traditional techniques to build solutions that last. She is graduating in December 2021 with a degree in Fashion Design with an emphasis in Patternmaking and 3D design.
Meredith is passionate about social and environmental justice, especially within the realm of manufacturing and distribution. She believes that the culture shift needed to repair much of the damage caused by the fashion industry is, while not always easy, quite simple. Meredith sees and interacts with the creativity, possibility, and leadership needed to move toward that shift.
Outside of her practice in fashion design, Meredith has dedicated her life to perpetuating the ancestral Hawaiian art of Lauhala Weaving, which she shares on Instagram and in her online store. In her free time she prioritizes rest, as well as connection to nature, culture, and community.
